Guests of the Best Western Lake Buena Vista will enjoy complimentary transportation to all 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks, the 3 water parks and Pleasure Island. Pick-ups for the Theme Parks are scheduled every 30 minutes from 1 hour prior to park opening until 2 hours after the parks close. For transportation to the water parks, check with the Guest Services desk for the scheduled morning and afternoon pick-ups. Pleasure Island bus transportation is offered every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. until 3 a.m. Downtown Disney Marketplace and Downtown Disney West Side are only a 10-15 minute walk along a walkway set away from the main road. Buses are available to take guests to Universal Studios Florida for a $10 per person round trip fee. At this family friendly hotel, children 18 and under stay free.

ROOMS

Larger than the average room found at the Walt Disney World moderate resorts, the rooms at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel are spacious and comfortable. The Standard Deluxe rooms are decorated in the Caribbean theme with light bleached wood furnishings with tropical colored accents .These guestrooms hold a maximum of 4 guests and most rooms have two queen-sized beds (or one king-sized bed), a nightstand with clock radio, telephone, dresser, table and chairs. The satellite TV has the Disney channel, and pay-per-view movies and Nintendo games are available for an extra charge. There is a vanity area outside of the full bathroom. Other amenities include a coffee maker (coffee and tea is complimentary), iron and ironing board, hair dryer and a decent sized electronic safe. Guests who need to connect to home or work via the Internet while vacationing, will find a computer data port in each room but be sure to bring your local Orlando ISP phone number with you. Spacious private balconies are furnished and some have magnificent views of Epcot and parts of the Magic Kingdom. The Queen Preferred rooms can hold up to 5 guests and include a larger balcony and a queen sleeper sofa in the sitting area.

From 7 a.m. until 11 p.m., Traders International Restaurant and Terrace offers diners a delicious selection of American and Caribbean cuisine. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. and features an American breakfast buffet that includes a create-your-own-omelet bar, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, pastries, muffins, cold cereals, fruits, and coffee, tea or milk. Restaurant closes for lunch and re-opens at 5 p.m. for dinner to offer a wide variety of options, from snack-type meals to gourmet cuisine. Early Bird specials are available until 9 p.m. and a children's menu is available. Prefer lighter fare? Then the normal Parakeet Cafe will be right up your alley with a selection of hot and cold sandwiches, salads, pizza, snacks, special breakfast and lunch entrees and beverages. This take-out location is open from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel pool Lush tropical foliage surrounds the pool area, which is open from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. This pool is heated in the off-season to make it comfortable year-round for guests. The children's wading pool is set off to the side with lots of chaise lounges for parents to keep an eye on the little ones, in comfort. Restrooms found poolside are adequate for changing and towels are available poolside.

Once the kids are tired of swimming, they may enjoy playing electronic video games in the arcade located just off the lobby, or letting off some steam at the modular playground situated near the pool. Adults who enjoy physical exercise can jog along the walkway to the Downtown Disney Marketplace.
