Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside

The antebellum South along the old Mississippi is the theme of Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside. Steamboats were a big part of the old South and the theming of the registration area reflects that as guests check-in to the Sassagoula Steamboat Company which is themed after the inside of an actual riverboat.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside has a combination of the classic grand plantation mansions and country bayou villages. There are four mansion style buildings and 16 bayou, all connected by bridges to the Ol' Man Island pool and fishing area. The Sassagoula River winds through the resort.

Its Southern mansions and bayou accommodations line a picturesque, Mississippi-style waterway. There are six pools, with a water slide in the feature pool. This Moderate Resort offers one full-service restaurant, plus other dining options.  Welcome to Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort.

Award-winning, spectacular gardens and fountains are the mainstays of the mansion areas. The smell of the magnolia blossoms as you walk along the picturesque riverside walkways, is divine. Magnolia Bend is home to the majestic mansions reminiscent of the classic elegance of the rural South. Some of the details of these elegant mansions include majestic columns, grand staircases and ornate white railings.

In the Alligator Bayou, you'll find 2-story, Cajun-style brick or stucco lodges with tin roofs, wide front porches and rough hewn railings similar to those found in the rural bayou regions of southern Louisiana. These are set amidst dense moss-hung pine forests and creeks.

 

All guests of Port Orleans Riverside are welcome to use the services and amenities of Port Orleans French Quarter as well.

• Valet Service Cleaning - laundry bags and price lists are found in the closet of each room. Service is available 7 days a week, call Bell Services/Laundry for pick up or for same day service, drop it off at Bell Services before 9 a.m. and it will be returned to you after 6 p.m.
• Coin Laundry facilities – at each quiet pool there are coin operated washers and dryers. Cost is $1 each to wash and dry.

• Refillable mugs - these 12 oz. mugs are available for $9.62 plus tax (subject to change) and free refills can be had at the Colonel’s Cotton Mill at Dixie Landings and Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Port Orleans
