If you are looking for an affordable resort option that allows you to take advantage of the onsite resort perks, Disney's All Star Resorts are the place for you! At the All Star Sports Resort, bigger is better. You'll find bright, bold and colorful pop art icons such as a 4-story football helmet, giant "tennis ball can" and megaphone-shaped stairwells.

The five sports themes are: football, tennis, baseball, basketball and surfing. The two 3-story Touchdown buildings have ?spectators? lining the railings of each floor with a giant football helmet (large enough to fit a 200-foot tall football player!) encasing the stairwells. The Center Court tennis-themed buildings have a giant tennis racquet that at 51 feet tall is actually large enough to cover an entire tennis court! The tennis balls attached to the balconies are just about 5 feet in diameter. At the Home Run Hotel, super-sized baseball icons such as bats, stadium lights and scoreboards help get visitors in the spirit of things. The giant Coke cup could hold more than 20 million 12-ounce cans of Coke. Huge pennants of various sports teams line the roof of the Hoops Hotel. The megaphone that covers the stairwell is 45 feet tall and the two whistles are 60 feet long and 20 feet high. The Surfs Up buildings are decorated with surfboards, red snappers and dolphins. The shark that could be attached to the two 38-foot fins, would have to be 300-feet long. Each area has two 3-story buildings and 384 guest rooms.

Guests checking in to Stadium Hall may feel like they are entering a basketball gymnasium with caged lighting and mini-sized red lockers, but in this building, they will find the main check-in, Guest Services area, food court, gift shop and arcade.

Finding your way around: The first resort you come to on West Buena Vista Drive is the All Star Sports Resort. The lobby building is called Stadium Hall and houses the front desk and Guest Services, the End Zone Food Court, Game Point Arcade and the gift shop named Sport Goofy Gifts & Sundries. The guest rooms are located in 10 buildings divided into 5 sections. The first section you come to as you exit Stadium Hall is Surf?s Up! The buildings in this section are #1 and #6. The main swimming pool, called Surfboard Bay, is located between these two buildings. As you continue away from Stadium Hall past the Surf?s Up! section, you will come to the Hoops Hotel on the right in buildings #2 and #3, and to the left is Center Court in Buildings #4 and #5. You will find the Touchdown! section to the left as you exit Stadium Hall contained in buildings #7 and #10. Just beyond Touchdown!, you will find buildings #8 and #9 which make up the Home Run Hotel section. The second swimming pool, called Grand Slam Pool, is located between the buildings of the Home Run Hotel section. The playground at All Star Sports is located between buildings 6 and 7.

• Valet Service Cleaning - laundry bags and price lists are found in the closet of each room. Service is available Monday through Saturday and guests can get same day service by bringing the laundry bag to Guest Services or the Front Desk by 9:30 a.m. and it will be delivered back to the room after 6 p.m. that day. No service is offered on major holidays or Sundays.
• Coin Laundry facilities ? located at the Surfs Up pool and the Grand Slam pool. Cost is $1 each to wash and dry and small boxes of detergent are offered in vending machines for $1. A folding table and soda and snack vending machine is also found here.

• Refillable mugs ? these 12 oz. mugs are available for $9.52 plus tax (subject to change) and free refills can be had at any of the All Star resort food courts
• Luggage Service - will take your luggage at check-in and deliver it to your room in approximately one hour (runs on an hourly drop-off system). If you want them to pick up your luggage when you are ready to check out, you need to contact them the day before to schedule the service.
